Discover Airlines adds Alghero and Genoa to Italy network for summer 2027

Discover Airlines will launch two new Italy routes for summer 2027, linking Munich with Alghero in Sardinia from 4 June and Frankfurt with Genoa in Liguria from 28 March. Both services will operate twice a week, with Alghero scheduled for Mondays and Fridays and Genoa for Saturdays and Sundays, giving the Lufthansa Group leisure carrier new direct access to two destinations not currently served non-stop from those German hubs.

The additions expand Discover’s Italy network to four destinations, alongside Bari and Brindisi. The Alghero service is designed to strengthen access to north-west Sardinia from Munich, where Lufthansa Group already has a presence to the island. The Genoa route is geared partly to cruise traffic and is being lined up with Costa Cruises, which is expected to secure a fixed share of seats for passengers joining sailings. Both routes are positioned for the 2027 summer timetable and target leisure travel as well as fly-cruise demand.
