flynas has agreed to acquire a 10% equity interest in Swissport Saudi Arabia Limited for SAR 50 million and enter a five-year ground handling agreement covering all commercial airports in Saudi Arabia. The partnership will make Swissport Saudi Arabia flynas’ exclusive ground handling provider across the airline’s domestic network from 6 March 2027.
The agreement runs until 5 March 2032 and can be renewed for another five years by mutual consent. flynas also holds an option to increase its stake by a further 10% if the deal is renewed. The investment will be financed from internal resources. flynas has given notice to end its current agreement with Saudi Ground Services, with that termination taking effect on 6 March 2027.
The annual purchase volume under the Swissport arrangement is expected to equal about 5% of flynas’ 2025 revenue. The transaction ties a commercial services contract to an equity investment, strengthening Swissport’s position in Saudi Arabia while locking in flynas’ handling arrangements ahead of the new contract start date.
