Pratt & Whitney will invest $25 million to expand its manufacturing site in Niepołomice, Poland, adding more than 120 jobs and lifting output of commercial and military engine components. The plant produces complex tubular assemblies and supports the GTF, PW800 and F135 engine programmes. The expansion is scheduled to become operational in 2028, extending the company’s industrial footprint in Poland.
The Niepołomice project forms part of a broader $125 million commitment in the country this year. It follows a previously announced $100 million investment in Pratt & Whitney’s Rzeszów facilities, which the company has positioned as a separate upgrade to its Polish operations. The Polish government is backing the expansion through the Polish Investment Zone Programme.
Pratt & Whitney’s Polish sites serve both commercial and defence engine work, giving the company a larger manufacturing base in Europe for established and future programme demand. The new investment is intended to increase capacity at a time when suppliers across the sector continue to manage production growth, labour requirements and long-lead component availability.
