SAS completes Starlink installation across A320neo fleet

SAS has completed Starlink high-speed Wi-Fi installation across its entire Airbus A320neo fleet, fitting all 81 aircraft in about six months after the rollout began in March. The cabin-connectivity upgrade now covers the aircraft type that forms around 70% of SAS’s fleet and supports a large share of its short- and medium-haul network across Scandinavia and Europe.

The retrofit was carried out alongside normal flight operations, with each aircraft undergoing installation, testing and approval before returning to service. EuroBonus members can use the service free of charge through SAS’s partnership with telecoms group 3. The A320neo is the first SAS aircraft type to be fully equipped with Starlink, and the airline is preparing the next phase of the programme for its remaining fleet types later in 2026.

SAS is also planning further installations before year-end as it expands the Starlink rollout beyond the A320neo fleet. The completion adds a fast, fleetwide cabin-connectivity retrofit to the carrier’s European operations without interrupting its scheduled service.
