Global Airlines is facing a new creditor’s petition seeking compulsory liquidation in the High Court of Justice in England and Wales, renewing legal pressure on the UK startup behind its Airbus A380 programme. The petition was filed by Jessica Huffman Reese and published in The Gazette, with a further hearing listed for 2 September 2026.
The filing dates back to 29 May 2026 and identifies Reese as claiming to be a creditor of the company. It does not automatically place Global Airlines into liquidation, but it does move the airline into formal insolvency proceedings while the court considers the case.
This is not the first time the company has been targeted by a winding-up petition. A similar case filed in 2025 was later withdrawn, and the latest filing again leaves open questions over funding, creditor relations and the viability of the airline’s business plan. The amount of the alleged debt has not been disclosed in the available reporting, and no fresh comment from Global Airlines was available.
