Air Canada adds new long-haul services to Europe and China for summer 2027

Air Canada will expand its long-haul network for summer 2027 with new services from Vancouver, Toronto and Montréal to Guangzhou, Oslo, Shannon, Nice, Basel and Dubrovnik, while restoring a daytime Toronto–London Heathrow frequency and lifting Toronto–Shanghai to daily operation. The carrier is planning the programme around new aircraft capacity, with the Airbus A321XLR expected on shorter Europe sectors and Boeing 787s and A330s on longer flights.

The Vancouver–Guangzhou route is due to begin on 4 May 2027 as a year-round Boeing 787 service, subject to government approval. Toronto will gain non-stop links to Oslo, Shannon and Nice, while Montréal will add Basel and Dubrovnik. Toronto–Oslo is scheduled four times weekly from 2 June to 10 October 2027, Toronto–Shannon three times weekly from 10 June to 2 October, and Toronto–Nice twice weekly from 16 June to 23 October.

Montréal–Dubrovnik is planned three times weekly from 11 May to 23 October, and Montréal–Basel will start on 16 June. Toronto–Shanghai will rise from four weekly flights to daily, and Toronto–Guatemala City will become a year-round service in 2027. Air Canada’s summer 2027 international network is set to exceed 125 routes, offering up to 169,000 weekly seats from Canada to more than 85 overseas destinations.
