AirAsia launches first codeshare with Pegasus, opening five European destinations

AirAsia has entered its first codeshare partnership with Pegasus Airlines, opening single-ticket access via Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen to five initial European destinations: London Stansted, Moscow Vnukovo, Ankara, Zurich and Athens. The deal links AirAsia Group and AirAsia X with Pegasus across Southeast Asia and Europe, with immediate launch and broader route expansion planned over time.

The partnership gives AirAsia a faster route into Europe without building its own long-haul network, while Pegasus gains access to AirAsia’s Southeast Asian network. AirAsia will also raise Kuala Lumpur-Istanbul frequency from four weekly flights to daily by February 2027, supporting the new connection. The airlines expect the arrangement to grow beyond the initial five cities to more than 100 routes across Asia and Europe.

The launch also gives Pegasus its first network link to Southeast Asia on a single ticket, extending both carriers beyond point-to-point low-cost flying. Promotional fares are being offered for a limited period as part of the rollout.
