Apollo Global Management’s managed funds have taken a significant stake in Atlantic Aviation, while KKR remains a substantial shareholder in a transaction valuing the U.S. fixed-base operator network at nearly $10 billion. The deal brings Apollo into one of the largest private aviation infrastructure platforms in the United States without a full takeover, with both firms positioning the arrangement as a strategic partnership.
Atlantic Aviation operates a nationwide FBO network serving business aviation, making the investment a notable move in the private-flying infrastructure market. KKR acquired the business from Macquarie Infrastructure in 2021 for about $4.475 billion, underscoring the sharp uplift in implied valuation. Financial terms beyond the headline valuation were not disclosed, including Apollo’s exact stake, the payment structure, KKR’s proceeds or Atlantic Aviation’s debt position. The deal follows months of market speculation and leaves KKR with a meaningful continuing role in the company.
