Airbus has changed the operator of its employee shuttle between Hamburg-Finkenwerder and Toulouse, with Titan Airways taking over from Volotea. A Titan Airways Airbus A320 was already operating the service on 31 August, while the schedule remains unchanged with twelve flights from Monday to Thursday and an additional round trip every two weeks on Friday.
The shuttle connects two of Airbus’s major sites and is run as a dedicated charter for staff movements. Airbus regularly retenders the service, and the current cooperation with Titan Airways is understood to be longer term. Volotea had held the contract since 2019, making the latest move a replacement of the incumbent operator rather than the launch of a new route.
No contract value has been disclosed, and neither Airbus nor Titan Airways has given public details on why the route changed hands. The service continues under the same flight numbers used for the staff operation, preserving the existing pattern for Airbus employees travelling between Germany and France.
