Malaysia Airlines launches UK stopover option through Bonus Side Trip programme

Malaysia Airlines has promoted a UK-market stopover option through its Bonus Side Trip programme, allowing eligible travellers to add a Kuala Lumpur-Kuantan return sector for only taxes and fees on qualifying long-haul itineraries from the UK to Asia or Australasia. The domestic add-on can be taken either on the outbound or inbound journey via Kuala Lumpur, giving passengers a lower-cost way to combine an international trip with a Malaysian side visit.

Kuantan in Pahang is the featured destination in the latest offer, which extends Malaysia Airlines’ use of Kuala Lumpur as a connecting point for long-haul traffic. The airline operates twice-daily services between London Heathrow and Kuala Lumpur, supporting the stopover product across its wider network. For UK travellers, the scheme offers an additional leisure option without changing the core long-haul booking, while also helping to channel traffic into domestic Malaysian routes.
