Korean Air and Asiana Airlines are widening their codeshare cooperation again from 24 August, adding a further wave of domestic and international routes through Seoul Incheon. The latest filing extends coverage to multiple Japan points, Brisbane and several Korean domestic sectors, deepening network overlap as the two carriers move further into merger-era integration.
Under the updated schedule, Asiana-operated codeshares for Korean Air will cover Incheon flights to Aomori, Brisbane, Fukuoka, Kagoshima, Komatsu, Kumamoto, Macau, Nagasaki, Nagoya, Niigata, Okayama, Okinawa, Osaka Kansai, Sapporo New Chitose, Tokyo Haneda and Tokyo Narita. Korean Air-operated codeshares for Asiana will cover Incheon services to Fukuoka, Miyazaki, Nagoya, Okinawa, Osaka Kansai, Sapporo New Chitose, Sendai, Tokyo Haneda and Tokyo Narita.
Domestic links are also included, with Incheon-Busan and Incheon-Daegu appearing in the codeshare structure. The expansion follows an earlier phase launched in late July and shows the two airlines steadily broadening commercial alignment across short-haul Asian markets, particularly Japan, while also adding Australia to the network.
