Gol Linhas Aéreas has named André Fehlauer as its next chief executive, with the leadership change set to take effect in September. Celso Ferrer will step down on 31 August after a period that included a major transformation at the Brazilian carrier, while Albert Perez, currently chief operating officer, will take on the expanded role of president and chief operating officer.
Fehlauer returns to Gol from the loyalty sector, where he most recently led Livelo. He previously spent eight years at Gol, including senior roles at Smiles in Brazil and Argentina, and has also held positions at Citi and Credicard. The appointment brings an internal alumnus back into the top job at one of Brazil’s largest airlines as the carrier continues to manage its network, commercial strategy and corporate restructuring priorities under new leadership.
