EirTrade Aviation Maintenance has secured three new operational approvals for its facility at Ireland West Airport Knock in County Mayo, expanding its ability to support aircraft on the Guernsey, Cayman Islands and Bermuda registers. The authorisations from the Bailiwick of Guernsey, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Cayman Islands and the Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority cover aircraft operations, transitions, parking and storage.
The approvals follow desktop and on-site audits and extend the Knock site’s work to line maintenance, parking, storage and return-to-service. The facility is now cleared to support a broader mix of lessors and airlines managing aircraft through offshore and overseas registries, a segment that often requires transition and storage capacity alongside routine maintenance.
The operation already handles a range of narrowbody and widebody types, including the A320 family, A320neo, A330 series, B737NG and B737 MAX. Aviation Week’s August MRO updates also tracked the development, describing it as three new global authorisations linked to continued expansion at Knock.
