VINI and Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport are launching a demand-driven capital link to the Berlin region, with soft operations planned for October and November 2026. The service will use Dornier 228 and Dornier 328 aircraft and connect Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden with Schönhagen/Trebbin Airport south of Berlin, where a shuttle included in the fare will carry passengers on to Berlin-Mitte.
The initial timetable shows morning departures from Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden at 07:30 and return flights at 17:30 from Schönhagen/Trebbin, opening the route to same-day travel and longer trips. Flight time is about 1.5 hours. The airport has already opened bookings for the first flights.
VINI is positioning the service as a digitally collected demand model rather than a fixed scheduled airline product, bundling requests before activating a route. The concept is intended to reconnect Baden with the capital after seven years without a direct link from Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden, and the airport expects the operation to expand gradually from 2027 onwards.
