Ryanair will suspend all flights to and from Niš, Serbia, from the start of the winter 2026/27 schedule, ending its remaining service from the southern Serbian airport. The low-cost carrier has linked the withdrawal to regulatory problems affecting fuel supply at Niš Constantine the Great Airport, a move that will remove one of the airport’s key international operators.
The airline had been serving four Niš routes and had already pulled tickets from sale before confirming the full suspension. Reports on the exit have pointed to the airport’s fuel-supply environment and wider sanctions-related constraints in Serbia as the backdrop to the decision.
Niš has been one of Ryanair’s smaller Balkan bases since the airline entered the market in 2016, and the withdrawal is expected to reduce connectivity and weigh on passenger volumes at the airport. Coverage also indicates that Air Serbia is preparing to add Niš services to Vienna and Malta after Ryanair leaves, although the exact timing of those flights has not been finalised publicly.
