Velocity FBO Network has acquired SkyPlace FBO at San Antonio International Airport in Texas, expanding its platform to a sixth fixed-base operator location. The deal gives the Tallvine Partners-backed company a foothold in one of Texas’s major general aviation markets and adds another site to its growing North American network.
SkyPlace provides 24/7 fuel service, ground support and hangar and office space for aircraft ranging from single-engine turbine types to large-cabin jets. Velocity already operates at Willow Run, Kissimmee Gateway, St. Simons Island, Lake Havasu City and Baton Rouge, with San Antonio now joining that footprint.
Tallvine Partner Mark Clark linked the transaction to Velocity’s wider acquisition strategy, which focuses on building a geographically diversified FBO platform across attractive aviation markets. The company described San Antonio as a strategic fit within that plan, though it did not disclose financial terms or closing mechanics.
