Abelo acquires six turboprops from Aergo Capital portfolio

Abelo has acquired six turboprops from a portfolio managed by Aergo Capital, adding four ATR 72-600s and two DHC8-400s to its leasing business. The aircraft are already on lease to Emerald Airlines, Binter Canarias, National Jet Express, Citilink and Philippine Airlines, widening Abelo’s operator base across Europe, Asia and Australia.

The transaction was completed on behalf of MUFG, DBJ and KDB and brings five new operators into Abelo’s portfolio. Stephen Gorman, Abelo’s chief executive, framed the deal as another step in the lessor’s growth strategy and in building its position around key turboprop assets.

Aergo Capital managed the sale, underlining the portfolio nature of the deal rather than a single-aircraft transfer. For Abelo, the acquisition expands exposure to in-service turboprops that remain in demand with regional airlines, while further diversifying its customer mix across multiple markets.
