Airbus has taken its 2026 gross aircraft order tally past 1,000 after booking 204 orders in July, lifting year-to-date gross orders to 1,090 and net orders to 1,024 after cancellations. The monthly update also showed 67 deliveries in July, bringing Airbus’s 2026 total deliveries to 418 as the manufacturer continues to manage a heavy order book and production constraints.
The July order total was driven by strong activity around the Farnborough Airshow and a large commitment from SMBC Aviation Capital, including 100 A320neo-family aircraft. Airbus’s backlog remained supported by additional airline and leasing deals, while cancellations reduced the net figure from the gross total.
Airbus is still tracking toward an annual delivery target of roughly 870 aircraft, which implies an average of about 90 deliveries a month for the rest of the year. The latest figures underline sustained demand for the A320neo family and broader commercial aircraft portfolio at a time when supply-chain and output limits continue to shape delivery performance.
