MNAA reported record traffic at Nashville International Airport in fiscal 2026, with BNA carrying 26.7 million passengers as construction progressed across the airport’s $3 billion New Horizon expansion programme. The airport also reached 115 nonstop destinations in June, the highest level in its history, while the first completed project under the plan, the Concourse D extension, moved from delivery into operation during the year.
The Concourse D project added five gates, new food and retail space, public artwork, a moving walkway and an outdoor viewing terrace, and earned LEED Silver certification. Work continued on the rebuild of Concourse A, which is scheduled to open in July 2028 with 16 gates, expanded passenger facilities, lounges and concessions. American Airlines will open a new Admirals Club in the rebuilt concourse.
Further progress was reported on the Central Ramp Expansion, the new rental car facility and parking structure, and a $40 million refurbishment of the terminal central core. Blasting for the first phase of the rental car and parking project is complete, with the next stage focused on future road shifts. The completed complex will provide 4,700 rental vehicle spaces and 3,000 public parking spaces.
At John C. Tune Airport, jet operations increased 7.5% to 18,547 in FY26 and fuel sales rose 11.5% to 3.8 million gallons. The year also included the opening of a new Metropolitan Nashville Police Department aviation unit hangar at the airport.
