The U.S. Navy’s last C-2A Greyhound flew its final mission on 28 July 2026, touching down at Naval Air Station Pensacola after decades as the fleet’s fixed-wing carrier onboard delivery platform. The aircraft, assigned to VRC-40 Rawhides, ended carrier operations on 25 June aboard USS Nimitz during FLEETEX 250, then made its last transit for preservation and eventual display at the National Naval Aviation Museum.
