Bell Boeing has delivered the final MV-22B Osprey to the US Marine Corps, closing out a 359-aircraft production run and ending new-build deliveries for the tiltrotor fleet. The handover at Bell’s Amarillo plant sends VMM-162 the last aircraft in a programme that has logged more than 686,500 flight hours across 114 deployments, while the Corps now shifts funding and attention to sustainment, upgrades and availability management. The MV-22B remains in Marine service through 2055, but the line is shut and the procurement phase is over.
