Textron Aviation lifted second-quarter revenue even as jet deliveries fell, with higher aircraft pricing and aftermarket sales offsetting weaker volume and mix. The segment posted $1.544 billion in revenue, up 1% year on year, after delivering 40 jets, down from 49 a year earlier, while commercial turboprop deliveries rose to 44 from 34. Management said lower Citation jet and defense volume pressured the mix, but stronger turboprop output helped blunt the hit. Segment profit slipped to $165 million as manufacturing inefficiencies and softer aircraft volume outweighed the pricing gain. The backlog ended the quarter at $8.0 billion, leaving the unit with pricing power but still exposed to execution drag.
