Lufthansa Group Resumes Riyadh and Amman Flights in September 2026

Lufthansa Group is resuming flights to Riyadh and Amman starting 10 September 2026, overriding its previous suspension deadline of 24 October 2026 for these destinations. Lufthansa will operate three weekly Frankfurt–Riyadh flights from 10 September, followed by ITA Airways launching five weekly Rome–Riyadh services on 15 September, and Austrian Airlines restoring three weekly Vienna–Amman flights from 2 October. The decision follows relaxed security warnings from the German Federal Foreign Office and EASA’s updated risk assessment, enabling operators to reintroduce capacity to Saudi Arabia and Jordan ahead of the winter schedule. While Tel Aviv resumption remains tentative for summer 2026, Dubai, Doha, and Abu Dhabi stay suspended through 31 October 2026 amid persistent airspace risks.
