Bell delivers 2,000th Bell 407 to British Columbia operator

Bell Textron has delivered the 2,000th helicopter in its Bell 407 series to White Saddle Air Services, a family-run operator based at Bluff Lake, near Tatla Lake in British Columbia’s Cariboo Chilcotin region. The delivery reaches a production and delivery threshold for the light, single-engine type, which has served commercial, utility, corporate and specialist operators for nearly three decades. Bell did not disclose the aircraft’s configuration, handover date or intended missions.

The current 407GXi, introduced in 2018 after the 407GX and 407GXP, is equipped with Garmin’s G1000H NXi integrated flight deck. Bell’s commercial helicopter production and delivery centre of excellence is in Mirabel, Quebec.

The 407’s varied roles include public safety and emergency medical services, alongside commercial and utility operations. The 2,000-aircraft total reflects deliveries across those mission segments and a range of operating environments; Bell did not provide a breakdown by variant or customer.
