GA Telesis completes AFRA aircraft-recycling recertification audit

GA Telesis has completed another recertification audit under the Aircraft Fleet Recycling Association’s (AFRA) programme, covering its aircraft-recycling activities and contracted disassembly operations. The Fort Lauderdale-based company said the review assessed quality, environmental stewardship, operational safety and oversight of its disassembly partner, Ascent Aviation Services, which supported the audit. No detailed findings or certificate validity dates were disclosed.

AFRA’s Best Management Practices provide a framework for environmentally responsible aircraft disassembly and material recovery. The assessment applies to GA Telesis’ aircraft lifecycle-management work, which includes recycling and aftermarket support for aircraft assets.

The company’s contracted arrangement with Ascent Aviation Services places the partner’s disassembly activities within the scope of its oversight. GA Telesis said its lifecycle approach is intended to recover value from assets and provide cost-effective aftermarket solutions while supporting customers’ sustainability objectives. The recertification announcement did not identify any changes to operating procedures or services.
