Images circulating online appear to show a full-scale example of COMAC’s CE-25A electric-aircraft demonstrator, a 19-seat design intended for short- and medium-haul passenger transport and business aviation. The aircraft, marked CE-25A and bearing registration B-0EFH, has not been confirmed by the Chinese manufacturer, and neither its authenticity nor whether it has flown has been established.
The red-and-black aircraft pictured differs in scale from the model COMAC displayed at the 2023 China International Import Expo in Shanghai. At the time, the state-owned company described the CE-25A as an all-electric aircraft with a pressurised cabin, a target range of 400 to 500 km and a maximum cruise speed of 217 knots. Its design uses distributed electric propulsion, with ten ducted fans integrated into the wings.
COMAC’s reported verification flight in 2023 involved a subscale model. The newly circulated images, which reportedly emerged online in late October, have not established where or when they were taken. COMAC has not released updated technical data or confirmed that it has built the aircraft shown. No certification, production or service-entry schedule is known, and the available information does not indicate whether a flight-test programme is under way.
