Air India introduces new amenity kits and loungewear in First and Business Class

Air India has introduced new amenity kits and loungewear for First and Business Class passengers on international flights, in a collection developed with Indian luxury and Ayurveda brand Forest Essentials. The rollout began in October on flights longer than eight hours and overnight services exceeding six hours, combining Indian artistic and textile traditions with skincare, fragrance and wellness products.

First Class kits form part of The Art of Flight collection and feature Gond artwork by Indian artist Dwarka Paraste. The colours and motifs are intended to change approximately every six months, creating a collectible series. The kits include Forest Essentials products, an eye mask, socks, earplugs, a dental kit and a hair tie, with a day lotion containing SPF 30 and a facial tonic mist also provided.

Business Class kits draw on the nine traditional Navratna gemstones and come in a Jharoka-shaped bag made from premium PU leather. They contain Forest Essentials skincare and fragrance products alongside standard travel accessories.

Both classes receive a handcrafted Marma massager made from natural wood. The item is based on the Ayurvedic stimulation of Marma points and is described as a first-of-its-kind inclusion in an airline amenity kit.

The gender-neutral loungewear takes its design cues from the Kullu shawl-weaving tradition of Himachal Pradesh. Subtle geometric patterns appear on the Henley-style top and trousers. Sets are available in four sizes, including XXL, while grey slippers have been replaced with beige models to match the new colour palette.
