WestJet will begin the first nonstop service between Western Canada and South America this winter, linking Calgary and São Paulo with Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner flights. The route is part of the carrier’s largest Latin America and Caribbean winter programme to date, which includes up to 1,252 weekly flights across 88 nonstop routes and a 12% increase in regional capacity.
The new service gives Calgary a direct connection to Brazil and extends WestJet’s long-haul network further into South America. WestJet is also pairing the route with an interline agreement with LATAM, opening access to more than 60 South American destinations under one booking.
The Calgary–São Paulo route is scheduled within WestJet’s winter 2026 programme, with the exact first flight date not disclosed in the available material.
