Vallair has accepted its first Airbus A330neo for base maintenance at its Châteauroux facility in France, expanding the MRO provider’s wide-body capabilities. The aircraft, operated by an unnamed South American airline, is undergoing comprehensive maintenance at the site after Vallair secured regulatory approval for A330neo work during summer 2026.
The approval covers base maintenance for the A330-800 and A330-900 and extends Vallair’s existing Airbus wide-body portfolio. The company has invested in additional capacity and technician training to support the new capability as the worldwide A330neo fleet grows and demand for qualified maintenance providers increases.
Vallair also expects geopolitical conditions in the Middle East to encourage more airlines to consider European MRO providers. The company has not disclosed the aircraft’s registration, the maintenance-check duration or the specific work package. Its Châteauroux operation previously supported other Airbus wide-body types, including the A330ceo and A340 family.
