United Airlines will add 10 new international cities and three additional routes for 2027 in the carrier’s largest overseas network expansion to date, with service starting as early as March and rolling out through June. The programme, unveiled at Newark Liberty International Airport, is tied to incoming Airbus A321XLR aircraft and includes new flying from U.S. hubs to destinations across Europe and Asia.
The new cities are Okinawa, Toulouse, Luxembourg City, Marseille, Ibiza, Valencia, Terceira, Ljubljana, Olbia and Catania. United is also opening Los Angeles–Osaka, Washington Dulles–Milan and Denver–Paris. Eight of the 10 new destinations are not currently served nonstop by any other U.S. airline.
The expansion extends United’s international footprint from multiple gateways, with Newark expected to remain central to the network growth. The airline has added nearly 60 international destinations since 2017, and several of the new routes are scheduled to operate with the A321XLR. Tickets are already available, subject to government approval.
