Twelve killed in PAC P-750 XSTOL crash after takeoff in Missouri

Twelve people died when a PAC P-750 XSTOL operated by Skydive Kansas City crashed shortly after takeoff from Butler Memorial Airport in Butler, Missouri. The aircraft lifted off with 11 skydivers and one pilot, then failed to reach full power, turned left, stalled and came down near Interstate 49 Business.

The type is used heavily in jump operations, where payload, climb performance and dispatch reliability drive utilisation. The accident will now test maintenance, operating discipline and takeoff-performance assumptions across the sector.
