TRU Simulation introduces Veris VR training device for Cessna Grand Caravan EX

TRU Simulation + Training has introduced a virtual-reality flight training device for the Cessna Grand Caravan EX, expanding its Veris range with the first Caravan-configured system in its portfolio. Unveiled in Las Vegas, the device combines a fully configured cockpit with VR technology and is designed to support pilot training for the aircraft’s cargo, commuter, special-mission and utility operations worldwide.

The two-seat device replicates the Grand Caravan EX’s instrumentation, controls and Garmin G1000 NXi avionics. It supports both single-pilot and multi-crew training and can be operated with or without a VR headset, allowing training organisations to use different instructional formats.

TRU Simulation, a Textron company and Textron Aviation affiliate, is positioning the Veris platform as a more accessible option for pilot development and proficiency training. Chief executive Jerry Messaris described the Grand Caravan EX system as a way to balance training effectiveness, flexibility and cost while broadening access to high-fidelity simulation.

The Caravan configuration joins Veris devices for the Bell 505, Cessna Skyhawk and Airbus H125. The announcement does not specify pricing, regulatory qualification, customer orders, production timing or a first delivery date.
