Transavia will launch a new route between Brussels and Ponta Delgada in the Azores in summer 2027, extending its leisure network from Brussels Airport. The Air France-KLM group carrier is building out its Belgian base with another southern Europe link, while tickets for the new service are due to go on sale on 16 September.
The Ponta Delgada service will become Transavia’s third connection from Brussels to Portugal, after Faro and the recently announced Porto route. It is part of a broader Brussels expansion that also includes new summer 2027 services to Heraklion and Thessaloniki. Brussels Airport has become a key growth platform for the airline, which has steadily increased capacity there in recent years.
For Belgian travellers, the new route adds another direct option to the Azores, a destination that has been seeing growing interest in leisure travel. The launch is scheduled for summer 2027 rather than the coming season, so the operational impact will come later even though the network decision is already in place.
