Thai Airways will open a Customer Care Center in Bangkok on 16 October to handle compensation and assistance requests from passengers affected by flood-related flight disruptions. The facility, at the airline’s headquarters on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road, will accept cases involving delayed or cancelled flights and delayed baggage, creating a new in-person channel alongside the carrier’s online claims process.
The centre is located on the first floor of Building 3. It will operate from 13:00 to 16:00 on 16 October, then daily, including weekends, from 08:30 to 16:00 starting on 17 October.
Passengers should bring identification, e-ticket or boarding-pass details, baggage-tag information where applicable, and receipts for additional costs caused by the disruption. The airline has not specified final compensation amounts or processing times for claims submitted through the centre.
The facility follows severe flooding in Bangkok in late September that disrupted Thai Airways’ ground operations, baggage handling and flight schedules. Related reporting put the impact at more than 200 flights and as many as 25,000 delayed bags. Thai Airways has separately indicated that affected passengers will receive compensation without having to submit individual complaints, while delayed baggage may be forwarded through other airlines when necessary.
