Swedish Climate Activists Disrupt Stockholm Bromma FBO

Swedish climate activists disrupted the business-aviation facility at Stockholm Bromma Airport on Wednesday, entering the ramp and terminal area and staging a protest beside a Cessna Citation Latitude. Five activists were arrested on suspicion of airport sabotage, while a separate group was charged with disorderly conduct. Airline operations continued normally because scheduled services use another part of the airport.

Images released by the activists showed members climbing the perimeter fence with ladders before sitting beside the Citation Latitude. The group described private aviation as a climate target and characterised inaction against it as “criminal passivity”. Its wider October campaign also included democratic discussions.

The terminal group reportedly refused police orders to leave and faced disorderly-conduct charges. Available information does not identify the FBO, indicate how long the disruption lasted, or say whether the aircraft was damaged. The incident was confined to Bromma’s private-aviation area and did not affect airline operations.

The same groups targeted Bromma in September 2023, forcing the private terminal to close and throwing red paint over the building and an aircraft. That action formed part of protests at multiple European locations; the latest activity appears to have been isolated.
