Textron Aviation has delivered the 500th Cessna Citation CJ4 series business jet, with the milestone aircraft a CJ4 Gen2 handed over to a customer in the Philippines. The Wichita, Kansas-based company tied the delivery to more than a decade of demand for its largest light jet and to the coming Citation CJ4 Gen3.
The aircraft maker framed the handover as evidence of sustained market confidence in the CJ4 family, which has built a global customer base since entering service. The milestone also highlights the transition now underway in Textron Aviation’s light-jet portfolio as development advances on the CJ4 Gen3.
The new version is part of Textron Aviation’s wider Gen3 programme and extends the CJ4 line into its next phase. The company’s latest update places the aircraft among the most established models in its Cessna Citation range, with the 500th delivery underscoring the platform’s continuing commercial relevance as the next-generation variant approaches.
