SWISS will replace two Airbus A220-300s with two Airbus A320neos at its Geneva base for the summer 2027 schedule, increasing seat capacity on the Geneva–London Heathrow route. The aircraft swap adds 35 seats per flight, lifting capacity from 145 to 180 seats on one of the carrier’s highest-demand services from Geneva.
The change takes effect with the summer 2027 timetable, which runs from 28 March to 30 October 2027. SWISS is using the larger aircraft to strengthen its position on a competitive, high-yield route without increasing frequencies, while broader details of the full Geneva schedule remain under finalisation.
Swiss media reporting indicates the two A320neos are currently based in Zurich and will exchange positions with the Geneva-based A220-300s. Geneva remains a seasonal station in SWISS’s network, and the carrier has not yet published the precise operating pattern for the route. The adjustment points to a measured capacity rebuild at Geneva as demand on Heathrow services stays strong.
