StandardAero has expanded airframe maintenance, repair and overhaul work at its Van Nuys, California facility to support select Bombardier Global aircraft, including the Global Express, Global Express XRS, Global 5000, Global 6000 and Global 7500. The site now offers inspection, repair, structures and avionics services for the type, extending a business aviation operation that has long handled Gulfstream aircraft at the airport.
The new capability is already in use, with the facility handling inspections and repair events for Global operators. Work underway also includes SpaceX Starlink installations on Global 5000 aircraft, BR710 engine line maintenance and support for a multi-aircraft Global fleet operator. StandardAero is an authorised Rolls-Royce service centre for the BR710, the engine fitted to most of the Global family, allowing airframe and engine support to be provided from the same location.
Bombardier Global aircraft have a large installed base in North America, and StandardAero is targeting that fleet with a broader service offering at Van Nuys. The company has positioned the expansion as part of its business aviation portfolio, using the airport site to combine airframe capability with its existing engine support business.
