SriLankan Airlines has brought Lido Flight 4D back into operation for flight planning, reestablishing its partnership with Lufthansa Systems. The Colombo-based carrier returned to the platform to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and restore a stable, integrated planning environment across its route network. After evaluating alternative providers, the airline prioritized system reliability, route optimization, dispatcher workflow efficiency, and deeper integration. Lido Flight 4D optimizes routes using weather, airspace, and aircraft-performance data to enhance fuel efficiency and operational stability. Reactivating existing interfaces shortened the project timeline, supporting SriLankan’s digital transformation toward an automated, data-driven operational ecosystem with a sustainability focus.
