REGENT closes $240 million Series B from defence-focused investors

REGENT Craft has closed a $240 million Series B round led by Mare Liberum and AE Ventures, with debt capital provided by Erebor Bank, as the North Kingstown, Rhode Island-based seaglider developer moves towards full-scale manufacturing. The financing is split evenly between equity and debt and lifts the company’s total funding to about $340 million.

Existing backers including Founders Fund, Caffeinated Capital, Lockheed Martin Ventures, Japan Airlines and Giant Step Capital also joined the round. REGENT plans to use the capital to accelerate production of its Seaglider vehicles, including the Viceroy and Squire lines, amid demand from both commercial maritime mobility customers and defence programmes.

The new funding comes as REGENT transitions from early-stage development into industrial-scale output. Its Seaglider platform is positioned for dual-use operations, combining commercial transport applications with defence requirements that have made specialist investors central to the round.
