Discover Airlines to launch first UK routes in summer 2027

Discover Airlines will open its first services to the UK in summer 2027, introducing Frankfurt flights to Glasgow, Bristol and Inverness, alongside a Munich–Glasgow route. The Lufthansa Group leisure carrier will operate the new services with Airbus A320 aircraft, with departures scheduled from March through June 2027 and up to eleven weekly UK frequencies across the summer season.

The expansion extends Discover’s short-haul leisure network beyond its usual southern Europe and long-haul holiday focus and gives the carrier its first destinations in Great Britain. Frankfurt–Glasgow begins on 29 March, Munich–Glasgow on 16 May, Frankfurt–Bristol on 17 May and Frankfurt–Inverness on 19 June. Frankfurt–Glasgow, Frankfurt–Bristol and Frankfurt–Inverness will be new non-stop options from the German hub, while Munich–Glasgow transfers a route previously flown by Lufthansa mainline.

Discover already serves Shannon from Frankfurt, giving the airline an existing Ireland link within its leisure portfolio. The new UK network broadens Lufthansa Group coverage in the market and creates direct competition on several city pairs, particularly where Discover plans to be the only non-stop operator from Frankfurt.
