ORIX Aviation Systems Limited has agreed to acquire AerFin Limited, moving beyond aircraft leasing and asset management into the aviation aftermarket. The UK-based parts specialist, headquartered in Newport, Wales, will give ORIX a platform in used serviceable material, airframe and engine parts, and end-of-life aircraft part-out.
AerFin operates across Miami, Singapore and Dublin and supports airlines, maintenance providers and lessors with aircraft and engine disassembly, component management, inventory handling and parts supply. ORIX Aviation, active in leasing since 1991, is targeting a broader role across the aircraft lifecycle through the deal.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close by the end of 2026. Reuters reported a deal value of about ¥100 billion, or $640 million, including debt, though no price was disclosed in the syndicated release. The acquisition comes as shortages of new aircraft and replacement parts continue to support demand for aftermarket services.
