Lufthansa Technik renews CF34-8 engine agreement with PSA Airlines

Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey and PSA Airlines have signed a new multi-year agreement covering CF34-8 engine services for the US regional carrier’s 154 Bombardier CRJ aircraft. The work will include engine maintenance, performance-restoration shop visits, on-site support, life-limited-part replacement and module shop visits. The agreement continues a customer relationship of more than 26 years, though its precise duration and financial terms were not disclosed.

PSA operates 60 CRJ700s and 94 CRJ900s, all powered by CF34-8 engines. Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lufthansa Technik, will continue supporting the fleet under the renewed contract. The scope includes both shop-based work and on-site technical support.

The agreement extends one of the longest-standing customer relationships in Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey’s CF34 engine business. PSA is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group and operates regional services under the American Eagle brand. The terms do not specify changes to the previous agreement or the service scope.
