Breeze Airways has closed a $228 million secured debt facility with AIP Capital to finance its acquisition of six new Airbus A220-300 aircraft. The financing, provided through AIP’s Private Credit strategy, will support the US airline’s fleet expansion and growth of its domestic and international network, including routes linking underserved markets. The parties did not disclose the aircraft delivery schedule or the facility’s repayment terms.
The transaction is the second financing deal between Breeze and AIP. The lender’s Private Credit business provides financing secured by aircraft and other collateral.
The available details do not specify the facility’s tenor or interest rate, how the financing is allocated among the six aircraft, or which routes Breeze plans to add. The aircraft’s individual serial numbers were also not disclosed.
