LOT Polish Airlines has joined the US Transportation Security Administration’s TSA PreCheck programme, giving eligible passengers departing from participating US airports access to dedicated expedited security lanes. The facility applies to LOT’s transatlantic services to Poland from New York John F. Kennedy, Newark, Chicago O’Hare, Los Angeles, Miami and San Francisco.
Passengers must already qualify for TSA PreCheck or an eligible trusted-traveller programme and add their Known Traveller Number to their LOT reservation before departure. The number can be entered during online or mobile check-in, or at the airport.
The TSA PreCheck indicator must appear on the boarding pass before the passenger proceeds to the designated lane. Possessing a Known Traveller Number or holding programme membership does not guarantee expedited screening on every journey, as eligibility is determined for each flight and lane availability depends on the departure airport and TSA procedures.
The change covers US departure security screening only and does not alter immigration or customs arrangements. LOT does not enrol passengers in TSA PreCheck or issue Known Traveller Numbers; qualifying travellers must apply through TSA or an eligible programme such as Global Entry, SENTRI or NEXUS.
