LATAM Airlines Brazil has taken delivery of its first Embraer E195-E2 at Embraer’s facility in São José dos Campos, marking the carrier’s debut with the Brazilian manufacturer’s jet family. The aircraft, registered PS-LTA, is the first of 24 E195-E2s ordered in 2025 and is set to support the airline’s domestic network expansion in Brazil.
The jet is not yet in commercial service and still needs to complete customs and import procedures, cabin approval and certification with Brazil’s civil aviation regulator before entering operation. Commercial service is expected to start between late November 2026 and March 2027, with the opening phase covering 42 domestic routes, including eight new services and four new destinations: Cabo Frio, Ji-Paraná, Macaé and Rondonópolis.
LATAM plans to receive 12 E195-E2s by the end of 2026 and another 12 in 2027. The aircraft type is configured with 136 seats in a two-by-two layout, and LATAM’s version includes a Premium Economy cabin, uncommon for the model in Brazil. The smaller jet will give the airline more flexibility on thinner routes and allow frequency increases in markets where a larger Airbus aircraft is less efficient.
