JetBlue is planning a business-class-style cabin for its Airbus A320 aircraft used on domestic routes, with 12 seats arranged in a 2-2 layout and a reduced Even More Space section while keeping total capacity at 162 seats. The product is expected to be unveiled on 1 September as part of JetBlue’s wider premium push in the US market.
The new cabin would give the carrier a more traditional premium option on short-haul flying, moving closer to the domestic first-class formats used by larger US rivals. The proposed layout would replace some of the extra-legroom seating rather than increase overall density, allowing JetBlue to maintain the same aircraft capacity while shifting more of the cabin toward higher-yield inventory.
JetBlue has not yet formally confirmed the final configuration, so the exact cabin name and details remain subject to change. Even so, the reported plan points to a broader repositioning of the airline’s narrowbody product as it continues to build out premium offerings across its network.
