IQ Worldwide to add second hangar at Brooksville-Tampa Bay Regional Airport

IQ Worldwide will open an additional 12,000-square-foot hangar next month at Brooksville-Tampa Bay Regional Airport in Florida as part of a $3 million expansion at the business aviation field. The project is being built on the ACS ramp on the north side of the airport and follows completion of the first 12,000-square-foot hangar last year, which already serves super-midsize jets.

The new hangar is designed with a 28-foot-high door, allowing it to accommodate ultra-long-range business jets, while both buildings include offices and restrooms. Airport hangar space has been in short supply, with a years-long waiting list, and IQ Worldwide is positioning the new facility to meet that demand rather than add speculative capacity.

Company president Victor Rosales has also outlined a longer buildout. He is in the permitting phase for a possible further 20,000-square-foot hangar with an even taller door, and wants to attract an MRO tenant to broaden the site’s operational mix. Brooksville-Tampa Bay Regional Airport’s 7,000-foot main runway is due to be extended to 8,000 feet, alongside a 5,000-foot secondary runway and a control tower, strengthening the airport’s appeal for larger business aircraft operations.
