ICAO to hold Worldwide Air Transport Conference in Montréal

The International Civil Aviation Organization will hold its Seventh Worldwide Air Transport Conference at its Montréal headquarters from 16 to 20 November. The meeting will bring senior officials from member states and invited international and regional organisations together to discuss policy and regulatory approaches for international air transport. Its agenda spans market access, resilience, infrastructure financing, workforce and supply-chain issues, emerging technologies and sustainable growth.

Held under the theme “Air Transport: Powering Global Connectivity, Economic Development and Resilience in a Dynamic World,” ATConf/7 is intended to produce recommendations and guidance for states and ICAO. The agenda also covers regulatory frameworks, emergency response, consumer protection, institutional capacity and inclusive growth.

ICAO updated a conference working paper on 5 November, indicating that preparations and policy materials were continuing in the days before the meeting. Participation is limited to invited attendees; exhibition and sponsorship options are available.
