IBAC Recognises IS-BAO and IS-BAH Achievements at LABACE

The International Business Aviation Council recognised Brazilian business aviation organisations at LABACE in São Paulo for achievements under its IS-BAO and IS-BAH safety programmes. TAM Aviação Executiva was singled out as the only Latin American operator holding both IS-BAO Stage 3 and IS-BAH Stage 3, highlighting the continued spread of IBAC’s standards across the region.

The acknowledgements covered a broader group of Brazilian operators and handling organisations that had reached stages 1, 2 and 3 in the two programmes. IS-BAO sets standards for business aircraft operations, while IS-BAH covers ground handling and ramp activity. Both frameworks are used internationally to support safety culture and operational discipline in business aviation.

IBAC used LABACE as a platform to draw attention to recent registrations and certifications in Latin America, where uptake of the programmes has been growing. The council has positioned the standards as part of its wider work within ICAO’s global aviation safety framework, with the Brazilian awards underscoring regional participation rather than isolated individual achievements.
